What once carried a bright new start
Has broken down. It fell apart
With weathered wood and rusted wheels—
and yet, this wagon helps and heals.
It’s not disuse, and not neglect:
Age matters less than deep respect,
And when the wagon can’t roll on,
Its purpose lies in greeting Dawn.
“Change comes to all. Release the past,
And face the future’s fiery blast
With purple flowers and dignity—”
That’s what this wagon says, to me.
Hello everyone,
Covid-19 has taken a toll on us all–but the future is still right in front of our faces, and I’m sure there will be something there to embrace. I’m wishing everyone the most beautiful holiday season ever!
